3rd thru 5th Grade 2019 - Fall Session Badger Mountain Elementary LEGO Club
Who: Third to fifth grade students with an interest in LEGO’s. This sign up is for the 2019 fall session. Due to the popularity of LEGO club we will be accepting thirty spots. If there is room we will fill open spots with fall session LEGO club members who are interested in the spring session also.
When: Wed afternoons, from 3:15 to 4:15 pm.
Fall Session: Oct 23rd, Oct 30th, Nov 6th, Nov 13th, Nov 20th,
Dec 4th, Dec 11th, Dec 18th.
Where: Badger Mountain Elementary Library.
What: Our Badger Mountain Elementary LEGO Club’s goal is to enjoy building and exploring, independently or collaboratively, with LEGO’s in a quiet and calm atmosphere. This can be very difficult in the echoing gym, so as always, parents are welcome and encouraged to come to LEGO club to help supervise students and keep a nice, calm LEGO-playing atmosphere. We will also have high school volunteers from Richland High join us to encourage and build with our Badger Bobcats.
Our club will brainstorm rules during our first meeting, which will include how we’ll maintain a quiet, thinking space. Badger Mountain’s “Bobcat Big Three” rules apply: Show respect, Make Good decisions, and Solve problems. If behavior difficulties occur, there may be reminders, a Badger Refocus while sitting out, or having parents attend to sit with their child if the student needs help with their behavior.
Since space and materials are limited, we will be accepting LEGO club applications on a first come first serve basis. Applications are due by Friday October, 11th. Your child will be notified if he or she is accepted into this LEGO club session
